Norton Shores is the first Michigan client to adopt Citywide EAM for digitized asset and maintenance management, improving efficiency and planning.
Norton Shores, Michigan – November 2025 – PSD Citywide® is pleased to announce a new partnership with their first Michigan client, the City of Norton Shores, for the implementation of a cloud-based Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system. The city will use the Citywide Assets and Citywide Maintenance solutions to transform how they manage their infrastructure, beginning with the Water/Sewer department.
Located along the eastern shore of Lake Michigan, the City of Norton Shores is committed to providing a high quality of life for its residents guided by principles of efficiency, innovation, and dedicated customer service. This commitment drives the city’s strategic decision to adopt a centralized, data-driven EAM system, ensuring the reliability of public works operations, particularly in managing its water and sewer network.
The new EAM system replaces paper-based workflows with an integrated digital platform, providing the city’s departments with a comprehensive, up-to-date view of their managed assets. This transition enables staff, both in the office and in the field, to track asset condition, schedule preventive maintenance, and record work history in real-time.
The primary goal of the project is to improve efficiency, accountability, and long-term infrastructure planning. By digitizing their processes, the City of Norton Shores will be able to use data-driven insights to improve asset lifecycles, reduce operational costs and unplanned maintenance, and enhance service delivery for its residents.
Matt Anderson, Water & Sewer Superintendent for the City of Norton Shores, commented on the project: “For years, our paper work orders helped us get the job done, but they limited how much we could see and measure. With Citywide Assets and Maintenance, everything we do is now connected, from the shop to the field. Our crews can locate assets right from the mobile app, create and close out work orders on-site, and see the full history of what’s been done. It’s a big step forward for efficiency and accountability, and it’s already making a difference in how we plan and manage our infrastructure.
What stood out to me most was the support and follow-through from the PSD Citywide team. They’ve been great to work with and delivered exactly what they promised, which gave us a lot of confidence through implementation and beyond.”
“We’re very excited to welcome Norton Shores to the PSD Citywide client community,” commented Jeff Muir, Regional Manager. “The City is already taking a proactive and thoughtful approach to asset and maintenance management. By digitizing and organizing their existing maintenance efforts, Citywide will help them unlock insights from their maintenance history and support more informed, longer-term planning. We look forward to helping Norton Shores continue to drive greater operational efficiency.”
For PSD Citywide, securing the City of Norton Shores as their first client in Michigan is a significant milestone that expands the company’s footprint across the United States.
